C-Grid® / SL Products
The combination of the C-Grid and SL product lines provides a complete, modular wire-to-wire, wire-to-board and board-to-board application solution based on a 2.54mm (.100") pitch. These product families are suitable for low power signal applications such as computers, medical instruments, and automotive controls. C-Grid is a dual row, board-to-board system. The system includes: vertical and right angle headers in breakaway, shrouded and dual-body styles; vertical and right angle receptacles; headers and receptacles for SMT applications; and a 2-circuit shunt completes the C-Grid product line. C-Grid has the ability to mate with SL products as well as with the KK, MX-50 and QF-50 product lines.
SL (Stackable Linear) is a modular, single row, wire-to-wire and wire-to-board system. The system includes: low profile latching vertical and right angle headers; five stackable, low profile housing for male or female crimp terminals; pre-assembled, single piece pin and receptacle connector assemblies for IDT termination of discrete wire or ribbon cable and piercing crimp termination of FFC/FPC; single and dual row latching interim clips for stacking of subassemblies to form larger connectors; and panel mounts for modular wire-to-wire remote interconnections. SL mates with both C-Grid and KK products.
Additionally, high force female contacts are available for demanding environments. Three styles of termination tools are available for all volume levels: discrete wire, ribbon cable round conductor and flat flexible cable (FFC). The proven design of both the C-Grid and SL systems features similar material and electrical specifications, including the utilization of 0.64mm (.025") square pins and selective Gold or Tin/Lead plating. Together C-Grid and SL products combine to offer the largest number of variations and cabling configurations in the industry.
