Molex's newest 0.40mm pitch SlimStack™ connectors feature the smallest width for ultra-narrow board-to-board applications
Designed to accommodate for the continuing downsizing of mobile phones and other mobile devices, Molex’s new 0.40mm pitch SlimStack™ connectors have the smallest width dimension in the industry, 2.60mm and also include some of the smallest overall dimensions.
Available in various circuit sizes from 20-80, these connectors offer many features to help designers reduce space and maintain secure electrical and mechanical contact reliability. Key features include a tuning fork style terminal and fitting nail with friction lock, which combine to offer secure contact retention. Integral solder nails at the end of the connector also serve as grounds, further reducing required PCB real estate. Although micro-miniature, the connector housings are designed to allow for tracing patterns to run under the connector, providing further PCB space savings.
SlimStack 0.40mm pitch ultra-narrow connectors come standard in embossed tape without vacuum tape, but can also be ordered with vacuum tape if needed.
