Molex's range of Picoflex headers and receptacles provide high power and signal in a space-saving, robust and reliable package for a diverse range of wire-to-board applications
 Highly reliable, power and signal Picoflex connectors provide high-density solutions when flat-flexible connectors are not appropriate. Available in circuit sizes from 4 to 26, Picoflex connectors mate with 1.27mm (.050") cable - a worldwide industry standard. Tested to the high-vibration and shock requirements of the Automotive, Industrial and Consumer Electronics industries, Picoflex is ideal for use in such diverse applications as solar applications, weighing systems, vehicle infotainment, computer peripherals, telecommunications and portable heart monitors.
Picoflex connectors have a mated height of 6.40mm (.252") for vertical-mating configurations, which is approximately 15% less than traditional 1.27mm (.050") connector systems. A strong one-piece upper housing provides excellent cable retention and is ideal for small circuit size applications. The high-reliability contact features a four-point interface with the cable and two points of contact between the header and receptacle. Picoflex also offers excellent polarization to both the PCB and between the female connector and header.
 The 90816 series SMT Latched Header provides additional security to any wire-to-board application where the harness can be placed under an excessive push/pull force, where part of a harness protrudes from an assembly or where final assembly involves movement of the cable, to prevent the header and receptacle from disconnecting. The latches increase the retention force between the header and receptacle by at least 50% compared to the existing Molex standard friction-lock header, series 90814.
PCB Header Summary

90325 series is the standard vertical version suitable for wave-soldering.

90800 series is the standard right-angle version suitable for wave-soldering. The header has kinked tails for easy retention in right-angle applications.

90779 series is manufactured in high-temperature nylon 4/6 for IR compatibility and is available in Tin or selective Gold plating.

91714 series is the high-temperature, right-angle version, suitable for reflow soldering.

90816 series is the SMT Latched Header. The positive-latch feature gives 50% greater retention in the assembly and provide additional security than is specified for the standard friction lock 90814 series.

90814 series is a pure SMT version of the standard 90325 and features high-temperature material, SMT tails and optional covers for the tape and reel blister pack used for vacuum pick-and-place equipment. It is also available in tube packaging without covers. Retention barbs are optional on 12 circuits and above.

91330 series is a SMT header. The low-profile header creates a double-sided board effect with a single side SMT process for ease of assembly. Plating and packaging options are available.
Application tooling is available for the Picoflex receptacle and board-in connector.
